Activism
Mental Health Advocacy is at the core of my work.
In summer 2023, I was awarded a grant by the Davis Projects For Peace initiative to organize a conference entitled "Psych For Peace & Justice 2023" aimed at spurring greater activism within the discipline of psychology and the social sciences as a whole.
There was a second iteration of this conference, entitled "Psych For Peace & Justice 2024", which took place earlier this year after my co-organizing team and I received the APA Implementation Grant For Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention and Training in Psychology.
Through my involvement in Psychin' Out, a resource hub aimed at reducing disparities within the discipline of psychology, I strive to achieve bold change in the discipline of mental health by continuing to advocate for underrepresented communities to get the care they need.
